Two Brutal Murder Cases in Maharashtra: Thane Man Killed Over Dispute, Grandmother Stabbed to Death in Nagpur Family Violence

Two brutal murder cases in Maharashtra shocked authorities as a 30-year-old man was stabbed to death in Thane over a dispute and three accused were arrested, while in Nagpur a 24-year-old man allegedly killed his grandmother after a financial argument. Police acted swiftly in both incidents, registering cases and making arrests within hours and days respectively.

A 30-year-old man was brutally attacked and killed by three individuals following a dispute in Maharashtra’s Thane district, police confirmed on Saturday. In a separate and equally disturbing incident, a 24-year-old man was arrested in Nagpur for allegedly murdering his grandmother after a financial dispute involving money withdrawn from her bank account.

In the Thane district case, the incident took place late Friday night in the Mharalgaon area of the Kalyan sub-district. According to Inspector Mukesh Dhage of the Kalyan Taluka Police Station, the victim, identified as Ravindra alias Pintaya alias Dokya Yashwant Ahire, was cornered by three accused persons—Deepak Sukhdev Dange, Vijay Bhide, and Parshuram Bhide—at the Malkhamb Compound around 9 pm.

Police stated that the victim had an ongoing dispute with accused Deepak Sukhdev Dange and had planned to file a police complaint against him. Angered by this development, the three accused intercepted Ravindra and attacked him with sharp-edged weapons. The victim was repeatedly stabbed on his stomach, head, side, and face, resulting in his death at the scene.

Following a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, the police swiftly arrested all three accused. A case has been registered against them under Sections 103(1) for murder and 61(2) for criminal conspiracy under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
